Worship With Us This Sunday!

Though our services each have their own style, we worship through song, scripture reading, prayer and teaching in all of our worship services.

Our Sunday schedule looks like this

9:00am - Contemporary Worship (Outdoors for the summer, no live stream)

  • Our Contemporary Worship Service draws us in with modern worship music and instruments, and a bit more of a casual feel. This service is popular with people of all ages, and will meet outdoors from Memorial Day through Labor Dat this year.

 10:30am - Traditional Worship/Livestream (Children's Sunday School up to grade 5, Nursery)

  • Our Traditional Worship Service includes your favorite hymns, and we also hear from our chancel choir and hand bell choir regularly. This service is popular with many who have grown up in the church and appreciate the liturgy of the United Methodist Church.
  • This service is streamed live, and the chat room opens at 10:20am each week. If you cannot join us in person, we invite you to join us for the Live Stream or head to our Watch/Listen page to hear or watch the Sunday sermon throughout the week.

We will continue providing options to help connect you to God through worship each Sunday at Avon UMC, where and how you feel most comfortable. To maintain physical distancing, we ask that you observe the guidelines below:
To help keep everyone healthy inside the building:

  • If you do not feel well, have a fever or have been around anyone who is ill, please stay at home and choose an online option.
  • To minimize contamination, doors will remain open during worship, no coffee/snacks before or after church.
  • Please use the hand sanitizer provided at each building entrance.
  • Please do not shake hands or hug.

Sunday Worship Outdoors(at 9:00am)

  • Please wear a mask for worship services.
  • Every other pew will be roped off to encourage physical distancing.
  • Pick up your own bulletin and drop off an offering (as you wish) in the Narthex.
  • The balcony will have one entrance (up) and one exit (down). Please follow the signs.
  • Families who live together should sit together in one pew, when possible.
  • If you are alone, or a family of 2, please sit on the end of a pew.

  • If your children are not in Sunday School, please have them stay with you during worship.
  • Please wait to be dismissed by rows after the service to avoid congestion.
