WHO CAN COME?

We've all been placed in this time and place in history, as the tribe of women who are raising the world. We know we mother better together, so all moms are welcome at MOPS. From the time you get pregnant to when your kiddo is in Kindergarten, our doors are open.

FOR THE KIDS

The MOPPETS program is a preschool-style experience your kiddos will love.

HERE ARE THE BASIC ELEMENTS OF EVERY GROUP:

  • A welcoming and open environment
  • Mentoring and leadership development opportunities
  • Time for creative activities
  • Valuable take away teachings and lessons
  • And best of all… childcare for the morning groups

What to expect

A MOPS meeting includes practical teaching through speakers, demonstrations and videos. Plus, there's usually food... food you didn't make! But more important, you'll get to have honest conversations with other moms who understand the joys and frustrations of motherhood.

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers)

Are you a mom looking for a connection with other moms? MOPS is a group for mothers of children birth through kindergarten to connect with one another and gain support through a faith-centered group experience. Moms at every stage of their spiritual or life journey are welcome. We meet at Avon United Methodist Church and have three options for groups:

  • MOPS 1: 1st & 3rd Tuesdays from 9:30-11:30 beginning the first Tuesday of September.
  • MOPS 2: 2nd & 4th Tuesdays from 9:30-11:30 beginning the second Tuesday of September.
  • MOPS Evening: Every Wednesday from 6-7:30 pm offered in 6-7 week sessions each fall, winter, and spring. Join us as we have dinner together (a dinner you don’t have to cook!) from 6-6:30 then spend the rest of our time connecting over topics that will encourage and relate to us as moms. *Please note we do not offer childcare for the evening group. We ask for a suggested donation of $3 per person for dinner.
