Director of Multi-Media

Purpose of the Position:

  • The Multi-Media Director is tasked with overseeing multi-media needs for worship services at the church, along with leading video recording and editing.


  • 10-12 hours per week, including a minimum of 4 hours on Sunday morning

Priorities, Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Oversee multi-media needs on Sunday morning for all worship services.
  • Power up Computers/Projector for In-House presentation and Live Stream; run through Easy Worship Presentations
  • Set-up/Check mics, speakers and live stream sound before services; Run through rehearsal to check levels
  • Oversee volunteers during rehearsal and services
  • Train, equip and schedule volunteers to lead sound, presentation and livestream.
  • Record videos for the larger congregation and implement them into worship.
  • Work alongside of the Office Administrator to edit weekly the sermon video and upload to YouTube and the website; create sermon audio for website.
  • Assist with the development of online community on Sunday morning.Assist with the development of online platform for sermon viewing and community creation.


  • The Director of Multi-Media reports directly to the Pastor and is subject to oversight by the Leadership Team.


  • At least 18 years old
  • High School Degree
  • Appropriate references and background check
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient knowledge of sound, presentation and livestream needs during worship.
  • Excellence in video recording and editing.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Commitment to the vision and mission of Avon UMC.
  • Positive attitude and able to build relationships with a multi-generational and diverse congregation.​
