Rolling Back the Stone
For the season of Lent, we will be reflecting weekly in our sermons on the stumbling blocks each of us have to connecting with Jesus as our resurrected Lord.

What's Coming Up?

What time is the worship service?

At 10:00 am, we meet in our sanctuary for worship.  You are welcome to come just how you are to worship and everyone is invited.  Our worship service lasts for about one hour.

Who Is Our Pastor?

Pastor Micah Holland started at our congregation on July 1st, 2015.  He is married to his wife Jessica and he has two children.  Originally from Minnesota, he did his undergraduate schooling in Indiana and graduate work in Ohio and has served as a pastor in Ohio every since.  Click here to learn more about Pastor Micah and the rest of the church staff.

"What great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!"  1 John 3:1

God loves us in an amazing way. At Avon United Methodist Church, it's our mission to help you connect with this loving God.  Through worship, bible studies, service opportunities and more, we are continually growing as a faith family.  Join us on Sunday morning to experience the warmth of our faith and the strength of our community. Everyone is welcome, just as you are, to worship with us.

You Ask, We Answer

What should I wear to church?

Some people wear suits, other people wear jeans.  You are welcome to come just as you are.

Is the service traditional or contemporary?

Our worship service falls more on the traditional side of worship.  We strive to create a fresh environment of worship weekly using our historical tradition of worship to guide us.

What about my kids during worship?

For children 0-5, we have a infant room and preschool room staffed every Sunday morning for Sunday School.  For children 6 and up, we start off in worship together and after the children's moment, kids are welcome to head out to their Sunday School Classrooms. Kids are always welcome in worship and the first Sunday of the month, everyone 6 and up worships together for communion.
